Meeting Minutes: Thursday, September 17, 2007:

Budget Review (Pat K.)

Review of High School and Rec ball income and
expenses for 2006-2007 Season.

Assigner Review (Dan T.)
- Middle School games start Monday, September 24. Arlington and
Stanwood games go through the end of October on Monday, Tuesday and
Wednesday.
- The Cascade League will start about a week after the end of the
Arlington and Stanwood games (first week of November).
- 9th grade games at Lake Stevens will be played at Mid High School this
coming season (Mid High is an 8th and 9th grade campus).
- Granite Falls High School is brand new. Granite Falls Middle
School has moved to the "old" Granite Falls High School.
- Game fees this remain the same for HS. Junior High fees have gone
up slightly.
- Mileage fees will increase from $12.50 to $17.50 per official for our
"local schools." Mileage fees will increase from $17.50 to $20.00 per
official for our "remote schools."
- Dan Taylor will send an e-mail to all officials prior to the start of
the high school season that details how mileage will be broken down for
trips to South Whidbey.
SCBOA Representation (Kevin Erickson)

Discussion regarding joint meetings and joint training.
The boys association is flexible but needs to have dates finalized soon so
that the Welcome Letters can be sent out to all officials.
Trent will check on meeting site availability (Everett Boys and Girls Club)
and get back to Kevin before the weekend. Once dates and locations are
finalized, Trent and Kevin will confirm dates with the guest speakers who
are already committed to
teaching at our general meetings.

Kevin Stride will contact Todd Weber to arrange joint
training sessions.
Rule clinics and Interpreters Meetings.
Proposals:
To have individual board members be responsible for X number
of people and ensuring that they complete their test and online clinic on time.
To have the Board work with coaches on the points of emphasis.
Actions:
Kevin Stride to contact Kevin Erickson about Brochures
Kevin to set-up training locations and dates with Todd Weber.
Trent will find out if there is a gym available, and if our
speaker, JoAnne, is available for the first general meeting.
Duane to work with Dan on getting assigner’s
letter out to general association on Arbiter training, upcoming games etc. |
