Meeting Minutes for SCBOWBO

November 18, 2009

Meeting Minutes: Wednesday, November 18, 2009:
Legion Memorial Golf Course  
144 West Marine View Drive Everett, WA 98201

Jeff Schireman opened the meeting, and introduced Al Rossi.
Al Rossi presented on having a successful season.


Schireman discussed that Steve Landro has elected to resign from the board, and has appointed Dave Johnson to the board. Dennis Myers made a motion for a vote of confidence.  The motion was seconded and a vote of confidence was confirmed.


Todd Weber had sympathy cards for officials to sign for Coach Sood (Mt Lake Terrace HS).  Coach Sood lost his mother last week.


Mike Delong talked about ordering officials gear.


Lee discussed arbiter, setting up your calendar correctly, turn backs, and Jamborees.


Dan Taylor discussed, state passes and Jamborees.


Stride made announcements regarding: Apprentice training, donating gear, and joining a committee.


Stride challenged girls officials to be more vigilant this year with sportsmanship awards, and increase our nominations.


SCBOWBO Board Meeting


In attendance: Stride, Cashman, Palmer. Wheatley, Tidball, Sneva
 

Discussed Financial/Assigner contracts, Stride to send out for review and need approval before next meeting.
 

Leslie discussed Service Awards, and Scholarship information. The board will get an accurate data for service awards. Leslie is contacting schools and notifying them of the scholarship.


Stride discussed having a single website for the two associations. Sneva made a motion for Stride to proceed, it was seconded by Wheatley, and passed.


3rd-year officials have indicated that they don’t know how to rate and would like some time to talk about the descriptors and the correct way to rate. This will be held at the next meeting.


Stride confirmed with the board that we will pursue a joint end-of-season celebration with SCBOA, and need to begin planning of the joint celebration with SCBOA.


The board discussed the supplemental meeting in January.
