BOARD MEETING
The board of directors has approved a $1.00 per game per official fee
increase for recreation ball games. The fees are adjusted as follows:
Puget Sound Traveling League fees are now $26.00
Marysville Parks and Rec Games are now $21.00
CYO games are now 21.00
The board discussed how to handle the effect that 3-person officiating will
have on our ratings system. All crew members will rate each other for the game
during 3-person games. JV officials are expected to stay and observe at least
half of the 3-person varsity game to get acquainted with the mechanics and
new positions and other intracacies of 3-person officiating.
JV Officials will not rate the varsity officials for 3-person games. More details
(and a vote?) at the next meeting.
A proposal was made to change the ratings to include more numeric numbers, perhaps
by adding tenths or halves to the current criteria of 1 through 9. The concern
is that there are some ties in the current ranking system. (7 ties last year).
There was discussion about the boy's association attendance policy of allowing
their members to get credit for a boys meeting if they attended the girls
meeting on the same week. It was decided that members from the girls association
will not get credit towards the required 75% mandatory meeting attendance if they
attend a boys meeting on the same week as the girls meeting.
The next general meeting will be held on
November 29 at 7:00 PM at
the Everett Elks Club.
