Meeting Minutes: Saturday, November 3, 2007:
Apprentice Meeting:
Meeting called to order at 8:00 AM
Kevin Erickson explained Arbiter briefly
Kevin Stride went over starting the game and jump ball procedure
Lee Ottini went over Arbiter/rule
books/dues/forms/expectations/when games start/rules
General Meeting
Meeting called to order at 9:00 AM
Kevin Erickson and Trent Harwood welcomed the group.
Coffee and doughnuts were provided
Two raffles were held. An apprentice won a ref shirt and
another apprentice won an SCB ref t-shirt.
Kevin and Trent introduced the board, assignors, finance advisors
Mike DeLong talked about recruiting and referee apparel
for sale
Lee Ottini and Dan Taylor discussed assigning/online/expectations/ready
button/double blocks/ interp/scrimmages/games/rule books
Steve Brown: Talked about taking your officiating game to
a higher level. Steve has 28 years of officiating experience to draw on which
includes 4 HS state championship games, NCAA D-2 and NAIA regional tournaments
and 17 years as a WIAA interpreter.
Kevin and Trent had closing Remarks and adjourned the meeting at 10:40
AM.
After Session with Paul Patterson: Setting your goals before the season
starts and step it up a notch or two this year. Officials who attended this
session learned several things they could do this upcoming season that will make
them a better official. |
