Board Meeting: March 17, 2004 MEETING MINUTES Ratings Details: Marty Martinis will start compiling all the ratings next week. He will then send the ratings to Alan Guff who will do the same thing. They will then compare their findings and rectify any inconsistencies and/or irregularities. The final ratings will then be delivered to the board and they will then be sent out to all officials. Justification comments will be sent out to all officials sometime after that. The board approved a payment of $250.00 each to Marty and Alan for their work. Glen Dunbar will give the "coach of the year" award to the Kamiak coach. Jim Shaw will deliver the "player of the year" award to Arlington High School. Larry Kiger will deliver the "host school of the year" award to Stanwood High School. Summer Referee Scholarships $100.00 Scholarships award to: T.J. Leonard Mark Hedges Tony Helf Don McKinney Player Scholarship Program update: Only 3 applications received so far. The deadline is this weekend. If we do not get a huge number in the last few days, the board will probably recommend that we discontinue this program. The board puts in a lot of time on this program and our officials have donated generously. If we only get less than 10 applications, it is not worth the time and effort of our group. Golf tournament: We have at least 4 officials participating in this summers "multi-sport-officials-golf-tourney." We will donate $100.00 for prizes to the tournament organizers. Jason has given the "referee recruit" award info to Jim Shaw who will notify the referees how to get their free merchandise. Applications are being accepted for the assignor position through May 1. At this time, we have no new applications. The new board (effective July 1) will give the current assignor his year-end evaluation. The next board meeting will be held April 12 at Alfy's Pizza on Broadway in North Everett.
