Special Olympics:   Bruce Hoffman asked for officiating volunteers for the Special Olympics tournament at Kamiak HS on Sunday, February 10.

Trent had some overhead viewfoils that demonstrated C/T/L Rotations when "going long" after a foul against the offense.

Dealing with Coaches, Parents and Fans - Trent.  "I might have missed that one" (seldom and 1st half only).  "You might be right on that."   "I definitely know I/we are/were right on that one."  "That's not the sportsmanship we are looking for tonight."

When talking to coaches:  Respect who they are.   Listen and learn to nod.  Learn how to say OK, then nod.   If you are frowning, you look mad.  Are you mad?  When talking, raise your eyebrows.  Approachable - are you?  Consistent - with both coaches?Do you need to talk about every play when a coach talks to you? When do/should we talk to coaches?

* Meeting adjourned at 8:30 PM

Board Meeting
Meeting called to order at 9:00 PM

Trent announced that SCBOWBO have 100% completion on the test, clinic, and background check.   The board gathered lessons learned and how to improve the process of getting all three parts complete for all officials in a timely manner.

Discussed district level games:   Officials 1-25 could get a district game, long as they have met all the requirement per the constitution.

The Board discussed ways officials can make up meetings:    Any official can observe any level game (Frosh, C, JC, VAR) on a night they are not working.  They need to evaluate, train, and give feedback to the officials and turn in a sheet to either the assigner or a board member.  Also an official can stay at one site, and evaluate multiple games long as it is a different crew working each game.

* Meeting adjourned at 9:40 PM
