SCBOWBO Meeting Notes: Monday, February 12, 2007:
President Moe brought
the meeting to order at 7:02 PM.
Tom Freal informed officials of a new WOA-certified
officials camp which will take place at Snohomish High School this summer.
The camp, to be held June 1-3 will be held in conjunction with the annual girls
tournament held at Snohomish. Camp fee is $125.00 if paid before April 15
and $150.00 if paid after April 15. There will be several quality
observers at the camp and each official will receive tape break-down of one of
their games. More details to be posted on the website later.
Board Member
elections were held. The new SCBOA board members are Leslie Tidball and
Kevin Stride. Thanks to outgoing members Troy Moe and Tony Churlin.
Greg Osborne gathered information for service
awards. There were officials completing their 5th, 10th, 15th and 20th
years of service.
Voting was held for player, coach, and host scool of the
year. Sarah Morton, Mark Nueman, and Monroe High School were the winners.
Troy shared how the new rating system will work and noted
that Dennis Myers will compile the ratings for us this year. Please get your
ratings in ASAP as it will affect who gets paid first. Must all be in by March
15. High school games will be paid before junior high games. Check your
paysheets to make sure they are right.
The end of season party will be on Monday, March 5 at 1830
hours at the Old Spagetti Factory in Lynnwood, bring your spouse or significant

The by-laws committee has been formed-Tony Helf, Alan Hall,
Kevin Stride, and Duane Taylor.
Bruce Hoffman and Duane Taylor thanked all who worked at
Special Olympics.
Scholarships-presented by Gunther Hausmann, second by Glen
Dunbar. M/S/C-to give two scholarships of $500 each from the general fund
to girls basketball players that we serve. Winners chosen through an application
process. 36 yes, 1 nay.
