General Meeting
Meeting called to order at 9:00 AM

Mike Cashman opened the meeting with an icebreaker - a basketball trivia contest with scenarios that included several Snohomish County Officials (I.E. targets)
Trent Harwood reminded officials to complete their online test and online clinic
Kevin Erickson talked about professionalism. He complimented the group on the professionalism and game officiating that we are performing. He mentioned that he has seen several JV crews who could have just done a double-header and officiating the varsity game as well. Kevin then mentioned that officials need to avoid criticizing players, coaches, the general level of play or other officials. When comments like those are overheard, it reflects poorly on all of us.
Kevin informed officials that the WOA is only asking us to enforce the "home white uniforms" rule at the varsity level. When we officiate at schools that allow students on to the floor during introductions, we need to "dead ball officiate" the introductions to make sure the opposing team is not unduly harassed.
Several of our observers gave reports on some trends (both good and "things to work on") for our officials.
Joann Sather conducted a training session and showed floor positioning for several game situations.
Paul Patterson presented a game scenario that happened in Seattle involving a flagrant personal foul followed by players from both teams leaving the bench and coming on the floor.

* Meeting adjourned at 10:40 AM
