Joint Meeting with the SCBOA Board

In attendance: Leslie Tidball, Wayne Sneva, Kevin Stride,
Kevin Erickson, Mark Myers, Steve Allison, Shayne Day

Dates for the coming season:
Monday October
13th 6:30 pm @ Shawn O’Donnels (Season kick off mtg, Social event, and
fundraiser, more details to come)
Monday October 20th 6:30pm @ TBD
Monday November 3rd 6:30 pm @ TBD
Monday November 10th 6:30 PM @TBD
Sunday November 16th 9:00am @ TBD (OPTIONAL MTG) Arbiter Training (Required for
new recruits)
Saturday December 6th 9:00am @TBD
Saturday January 10th 9:00am @ TBD
Saturday February 7th 9:00am @TBD
We had a brainstorming session on how to increase attendance, the idea was to
front load the meetings as a way to minimize the amount of basketball conflicts.
Meeting agendas each association will take 3 mtgs and will work out the agenda
for those mtgs. Our goal is to build up from the topics covered last year either
by guess speakers etc. Mark and Kevin S. will work to ensure that the our
agendas flow from meeting to meeting and are building on each other (IE not
redundant, etc)
Assigners working together:
When assigners are working together that involve assignments there is a need to
have a paper copy. Each assigner needs to use email and cc both boards on the
email., that way we can ensure that there is an open communication between the
assigners. Also each assigner must have assignments 3 weeks out.
Officials must have their availability in the arbiter by November 16th.
Mileage Update: I sent a letter to Jim Piccolo Last week, and mailed both
financial officers a copy of the letter.
