Board Meeting Minutes: August 18, 2004
-
In attendance:
-
Financial Advisor, Jim Shaw, was the only SCBOWBO member who was able to attended
the WOA meetings on Aug 13 and 14. See Jim Shaw for details in regards to 3-person
officiating for the 2004-2005 season, but at this time it sounds as if there will
be very few 3-person officiating crews during the regular season.
Congratulations to Glenn Dunbar who was awarded the WOA's meritorious award
at the WOA meetings.
-
The board has put off action on a request for an increase to mileage fees until
next year. SCBOWBO mileage rates have been increased only once in the past 10
years (or more) while gas prices and traffic congestion have increased dramatically.
-
SCBOWBO assignor, Dan Taylor, attended today's board meeting and informed the
board of some things they could do to make his job easier. More details will
be posted when they become available.
-
The board is going to notify officials during the season if they are in jeopardy
of failing to meet SCBOWBO attendance requirements.
-
The board discussed ways to make sure that all officials take the rules test now
that the number of "certified refs" rather than "registered refs" determine how
many state playoff allocations are given to SCBOWBO officials. More details will
be posted when they become available.
